Love is what gives us true happiness!
A beautiful woman whom I’m so thankful for
I have been so lucky to have so many amazing friendships that have made my life so much more awesome just because they are in it! There is one of them that I wish she knew how much her friendship has meant to me, I’m not going to say her name; but she has me always! I know that the Lord gave her to me for a reason. In high school she was my first true friend, who saw me for me and not just my disability. In high school kids aren’t too nice to people who are different, but she could see passed the disability. You know when you just know that something is meant to be? That was how I felt about her and even more now! We just connected in a special way that I am so grateful for! I don’t have to see her to know that we will always have each other. There are times that I wish I could be there for her more. I am always thinking of her!
Thought of the day
”My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.”
I have decided that every once in a few days I will write something about me. That way my followers can get to know me a little more.
As I said yesterday I have a disability; called Cerebral Palsy there are so many different kinds of Cerebral palsy, I like to think of mine as the crazy kind! There are some days I think that my body has taken over and even if I think of what I want to do, my mind and my body are not on the same page. I use a power chair to get around, I need a lot of help, from getting out of bed to eating. I am happy with who I am, but I have been through my share of hard times. Who hasn’t had hard times? Being different can sometimes be hard to fit in, coming from south Africa and having a disability made it hard to fit in; in high school. I had some amazing times and people who still today we are best friends. Those friends are what helped me get through some of the hardest times, they also had apart of why I want to help others!
Idea
As I am trying to start up a network to help those who has or depression, one of my best friends has told me that I need to do an video interview on someone who has been through depression. If anyone is willing to do something like that please let me know. I am still working out the questions that you would answer, I just wanted to get the idea out there.
I have cerebral palsy which for me it effects all my physical movements and needs,so because it’s hard to be understood to others who don’t know me or what my disability is; I decided that I can help others through a network and writing. I know I have a lot to learn about depression, but I feel like this is what I was meant to do help others, I love it!
This is my hope/idea for this blog I would love to get to have a conversation with someone who might be going through a hard time; through email messages or some kind of chat. I have always felt a calling to help others or just be a friend to someone who feels like they don’t have anybody to talk to.
Thankfulness
There is always something to be thankful for; even something as small as being able to have a new day. I know that not every day is going to be full of happiness and laughter. Some days will be hard to get through, but there is always something to say thank you. We never know when our life’s will change, our jobs or health could change so quickly. We should live life with the thought; every day, everything we have is a gift! Even the hard times; you might be thinking that I am going crazy, but everything we go through in life is meant to make us stronger. I would like to think that I am thankful for everything I have; but it is hard to have that mind set all the time. Think of how much you have; do you have all your daily needs met, do you have love in your life? There are so many people who are having a hard time either finding a job, getting food on the table, keeping a home for their families; there is so much that we take for granted that we sometimes forget that there are others who do not have as many things as we do . If you have a life full of love; I think the other things we need will come. The things we all work towards to have in our life won’t make us happy without having love in it! Be thankful for every person and everything that you have!

Great informative Article
This article had some good information about depression that I think even who don’t suffer from depression could use. If you feel like commenting please do. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Do you accept who you are as a person?
Have you ever thought about this question? Sometimes it’s hard to think about yourself; but it is important for you to love who you are! Life puts titles on us but the title we have for ourselves is the most important.
A month for love.
Looking up at night sky can be so amazing. You can see a thousand stars; its as if they all have a name that somehow goes with us. I know for me; looking up at the stars gets me to thinking about how we are all the same. The stars have a great way to let you feel that you are loved! It may seem like a crazy idea; but I really believe that the stars have a way to let us know that we are loved!
This month is all about loving others; its Valentine’s Day just one day out of the month. But I would like to think it could be a season just like we have a Christmas season; so I want to let this be a season of love! Love is something I don’t think that there is enough of, there are so many people who feel alone, unloved; but why? Its the easiest thing to give but we sometimes forget that we could help support someone just by loving them!
Devotional
When days get hard what do you do to cope? For me reading a verse from the Bible always helps me. After having some time in his word helps me realize that everything I have and I should be thankful for everything; even the hard times. If everything was easy we would never get stronger! This verse was in my daily devotional it was just the thing I needed. ”Hebrews 12; 3, Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Thoughts for everyone.
What is faith?
What is faith?
Faith is knowing that there is something more out there.
For many it’s believing in God
For others faith is something else,
It can also be just hope that things will get better
Its the believing in something that we can’t see,
but we know it’s there.
Changing times
There are times in life where the way you view things change; and I think I am going through that time. I have been taking this class that I think has something to do with this season in my life, its still new for me; but I know some changes can be great. So all that to say; I may be changing the way I want to take my blog. I am still trying to think of how it will look, but I still want to help and support others it may include people who have a disability. I will keep all my followers updated as I have more ideas.

Love is the greatest gift.
Advice from Journey of The Peaceful Warrior
To really help people, you first need to understand them- but first understand yourself; prepare yourself; develop the clarity, the courage and the sensitivity to exert the right leverage, in the right place, at the right time. Then your actions will have power. -Sacred Journey of The Peaceful Warrior By: Dan Millman
Something to work toward.
My daily Devotional
“One of the hardest things about trials is the uncertainty about how long they will last. Usually, you can’t predict or control the unpleasant circumstances. You just have to live with them indefinitely. At times you may feel as if you can endure no more, but you can always reach out to Me for help. As you cling to Me moment by moment, I enable you to persevere. This produces in you not only endurance but also a harvest of righteousness and peace.” -Jesus Lives by Sarah Young, p. 72-73
The best Friendship
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation that you ever had.

What helps.
I don’t often write about faith; but this morning as I was having time with God, I realized how much better life is when we have a relationship with the Lord can get you through anything life gives us. Now I know that everyone believes in the Lord, so if you don’t it’s ok. But I would like to start writing more on this subject, because it truly helps when life gets us down. ”PASLM;18;29, 1 For He will give His angels orders concerning you,to protect you in all your ways.12 They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”
There is a reason for everything
Are there moments in your life when you wonder why me? Life has its reasons why things happen the way they do. It doesn’t tell you why or when it will happen. The hard times don’t let you know when they are coming, they just come. They don’t care if you are alone or if you have a good support team behind you. Its sad knowing that there are people who feel alone, or like no one cares. How can we let others go unseen and unloved? All that we would need to do is show them love.
