Today’s quote

“When we are deeply attached to someone, we start thinking about them all the time… there’s nothing more important to us then to be with them or to dream about them all the time… we wait for their messages and their calls as soon as they leave us… we always think of ways to make them happy… we want them to be with us in every way… physically, mentally and spiritually…….Neena Gupta”

Life is meant to be shared.

Life is about relationships, that is what can really change life for anyone.   Think about someone who has everything that one could buy,  but their life is full of work and things;  are they happy?   Not truly.  People need to have real relationships in their lives, not only to have someone to share the happiest moments with,  but also someone to make us feel special when life is hard.   We can not buy comfort,  we need to have someone who understands what we are going through,  someone who we know that no-matter where they are,  they will be there for us. Life is not meant to be without love,  it is the key to a happy life!

Just a thought.

Life sometimes does not let you be first, which can be great.   But know that there are times when you need to be first.

One of those message games

This is one of those message games.   I loved what it says I thought it would be a great uplifting message.

”This world needs as much kindness as it can get. I’m participating in the ‘Pay it Forward’ initiative: the first five people who comment on this status with “I’m in” will receive a surprise from me at some point during this year anything from a book, a ticket, something homemade, a postcard, absolutely any surprise! There will be no warning and it will happen when the mood comes over me and I find something that I believe would suit you and make you happy. These five people must make the same offer on their Facebook status Once my first five have “I’m in” I will forward this message to you privately so that you can copy and paste it, and put it in your status. (Don’t share it) so that we can form a web of connection of kindness. Let’s do more nice and loving things in 2015, without any reason other than to make each other smile and show that we think of each other. Here’s to a more enjoyable, friendly, and love filled year!.”

Thoughts of Depression

The more I learn about depression the more I feel like there is so much that I need to know. Depression is more of a disability than a sickness.  It takes control of everything in your body; where as a sickness is only in a few areas of the body mostly.   Depression for most people takes over the way people with depression sometimes think.  I think depression is not something that people who have it can get over;  they can feel better but I feel like depression is a sickness that is always there.  I wish for people who have depression to know that they are loved.

Life can get down

When life gets you down, what do you do? Who understands what is getting to you?  These questions we have all wondered about; when life seems too much to handle. It may seem like no one cares about what is getting to you, as if you are the only person that feels sadness. So you find some way to feel better, it may take the hurt away for a little while.  We need to talk to someone else that could help us, sometimes we can’t help ourselves when we find ourselves getting into bad habits just to feel good about yourself.  We all have hard times;  we have people who care for us to help when it’s really needed.

Beauty

You are beautiful in side and out,

People don’t hear that a lot,

Then it can turn into

Worrying  to much about what other people see but not

who we truly are,

What truly matters is how you look is you!

A link to my old blog.

When I first started to write I was using a blog on google but since I started using wordpress.  I wanted to transfer all my writings into one site but I have put some on here already that I’m not sure which ones I’ve posted on already, so I’ve decided to put the link to my old blog here.  If you want to take a look here is the link;  http://livelifeoflove.blogspot.com.

Daily devotion

What is a devotion to you?

To most people who go to church; its time with GOD.  But to people who feel that is not them,  think of something that you do each day to help you think in positive feeling.   Its what means the most to you;  for me its helping others, writing and knowing that I am able to inspire others.     I know devotion is something we all should try to have;  even if it something other than faith based.

We all have been in that time in our lives;  where thinking about just today is what is important?  When you are a time in life where trying to think about the next day,  month can feel overwhelming.   So take it day by day,  may be its a new start for you.  We need to have time where we don’t care about what will happen tomorrow.   We sometimes need to live in the moment,  life is a big what if!   But we forget that we may not always have tomorrow life is a gift.  So it’s going to know what you want your life to become;  but live in the moment!

The new year has started;  my family members are gone; I wish life did not lead our lives far away from the people we love the most.   Its hard to see that no-matter where we are in the world we are together.  I would think why couldn’t we live in one big continent so that we could just a drive a way.  But everyone moves and creates their our lives all the world;  which I guess can be great,  going to different countries and new experiences.  The more we can learn about other lifestyle the more we can understand how differences can be amazed may be we could see and understand how we are the same.   We may have family members all over the world but we always are together.

This year is over. Was it a great year, what are you are going to do next?  What will next year bring you?  Would you want to do something that will change someone’s life? I have never been  one to have a new years resolution, but this time I think I have one, its more of a goal than a resolution. But I want to get my writing out so much more, there are so many people who feel hurt, alone and brokenhearted. I know I can’t help everyone,  but I know there is a way to inspire and just let others feel cared for.   This is going to be my mission for this year to get my dream/hope to be real, facebook/this blog, my writing to help others!

Time to share with loved ones is the Christmas present!  Life should have this feeling the whole year not just one day or week;  but each day!   Each day we can make someone’s day.  Its not that hard,  people out there are feeling alone and brokenhearted why?  We could smile at someone just passing by us;  or if you know a friend needs love, someone just to listen and to let them know that they have somebody that will always be there no-matter what time they need you.   Christmas for most people is the gifts and we forget that love is the gift that is needed!

Day23

Its Christmas  the time when we think of what we can give loved ones;  but the best gift we can give someone is love!  I’m thankful that I have love and I can give it to my family and friends.

”Never give up on someone that you can’t go a full day without thinking about.”  This is so true; if there is someone who somehow everyday comes to your mind,  never give up them.  You might not know how much that person needs you.   Love is so easy to give; but so many people don’t have it in their lives. There is a reason why you think about that person everyday, think of it as they need to feel loved.  If you know someone that needs help or love;  there is so much that you can do to show them you are there for them.   It shouldn’t matter if they reply one day you will know how much you just saying how much they mean to you how much it made a difference in their life knowing that there is someone that cares for them.

This Christmas

So many of you might not know my close family members live all over the world; sometimes it can be hard because of not getting enough time together and that we do have together seems to go by way to fast.  My family has grown to include some very close friends,  I believe that family is not just the people who have your same name; but also the people in your life as you hold close to you.   This Christmas my brother and his family are going to be home.   I am very excited to see them,  this Christmas will be amazing!

Day22

As I get older I realize how much buying gifts is not as important as the relationships we have.  What is a gift?  It is not only something you can buy, it is also the people.  Relationships that means more than any gift; a relationship that you know will always be there. .  Gifts are replaceable but a special relationship you can never been replaced.  I am thankful that there are so many ways to give.

quote

Love makes you vulnerable and susceptible to emotional paroxysm. When you love someone you give them every bit of you slowly and slowly. You share yourself bit by bit .You give them your whole complete self..you give them your heart, your soul, your mind and your body and everything else about your being..You love them from breath to breath, from thought to thought and from moment to moment. But when they leave they take your best part with them and that is your soul and they leave you breathless, thoughtless and lifeless. They just leave you shattered with all your bits and pieces but you cannot gather them and fix them back like they were fixed before and then you are a changed person. You are left so broken that you can never be the same again..NEVER…Aarti Khurana”

I saw this quote and thought I had to share.

Helping people

Life is not about giving up, but you are in a hardship in life sometimes you can’t see any way out.   There will be people who will either try everything they can to help you get where you want to get in life; or there will be others that will not care to help you.   Or even there are people who will want to help you,  but they may not just not know how to help you.  On the other hand;  there are might be some people who you want to help.  Sometimes people might not want help;  so the best thing you could do is just by letting them how you care for them.

Why is there sadness?
Why can’t we all see that we are all the same?

Look past the difference,

And you will see that we are equal?

Day 21

I know I already said that I was thankful for writing;  but I forgot to say something that writing can do for anyone.  There are times,  when you have something to say but the right words don’t seem to come out.  I have found that when you are writing; its seems easier to get it out on paper sometimes.   This week I wrote someone; I was able to write out something that when I see this person I can’t get the right words out.   So all to say,  if you ever find yourself waiting to say something but can’t write it out.

Hope and Love

Little bit of love can go a long way.
Hope that better times will come.
Do what you can to help others.
This season is for giving and hope.

People we love.

Look around

Look at the people who mean the most to you.

Does it matter how much you see them?
Or does  the time you have together matter more?
Remember the good times you had together

And know that no one can take that moment away from you

7.6% of Americans are depressed, but few seek mental health treatment

About 1 in 13 Americans was suffering from depression at some point between 2009 and 2012, yet only 35% of people with severe depression and 20% of those with moderate depression said they had sought help from a mental health professional, according to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That’s troubling, the report authors write, because therapy combined with medication is “the most effective treatment for depression, especially for severe depression.” Drugs might be prescribed by a primary care doctor, but only a mental health specialist would conduct the type of therapy needed to get well.

The report, from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, offers a snapshot of the nation’s mental state during recent years.

The findings are based on interviews with a nationally representative group of American adults and teenagers who participated in the federal government’s ongoing National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. These volunteers answered a range of questions that assessed a variety of physical, cognitive and mood symptoms that are related to depression. Responses from people 12 years old and older were used to compile the report.

Overall, 2.9% of the participants had suffered “severe depressive symptoms” in the two weeks before they were interviewed, and another 4.7% had “moderate depressive symptoms,” the researchers found. Americans in their 40s and 50s were the most likely to be depressed, with 9.8% having moderate or severe depression. They were followed by Americans between the ages of 18 and 39, with a 7.4% depression rate. The oldest (ages 60 and over) and the youngest (ages 12 to 17) people in the survey were the least likely to be depressed, with rates of 5.4% and 5.7% respectively.

African Americans (9.7%) and Latinos (9.4%) had higher rates of moderate and severe depression than whites (6.9%), according to the report. (No data were reported for Asian Americans.) However, after the researchers adjusted their findings to take poverty status into account, there were no significant differences based on race or ethnicity.

Gender, on the other hand, had a large effect, with women experiencing higher levels of depression than men in all age groups. The biggest gap was among people in their 40s and 50s — 12.3% of women in this age group were moderately or severely depressed, compared with 7.2% of men. That 5.1-point difference was 30% bigger than the 3.9-point difference for the entire study population. Overall, 9.5% of women were depressed, along with 5.6% of men.

Depression took a meaningful toll on people’s lives, the researchers discovered. About 43% of those with severe depression said they had “serious difficulty” managing their work, home and social activities, and another 45% had “some difficulty.” For people with moderate depression, the corresponding figures were 16% and 58%. Even for people with mild depressive symptoms, 4% had serious difficulty with their daily activities and 42% had some difficulty.
Despite these problems, only 35% of people suffering severe depression and 20% of those with moderate depression told interviewers they had seen a mental health specialist, such as a psychologist, psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse or clinical social worker. (The researchers couldn’t verify whether these people actually began treatment for their depression.) Latinos were the least likely group to seek professional help from a mental health specialist — only 28% of those with severe depression and 17% of those with moderate depression did so, according to the report.

day20

Holidays times are here.   The time to be with loved ones,  give thanks;  be joyful and as always be hopeful. Though Thanksgiving is over; but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t give thanks. But we can always show that you are thankful for everything you have.   This Thanksgiving I was with my step sister;  the best part was getting to know her more!   So I am so thankful for her.

Day19/ have a great Thanksgiving.

Today I am getting ready to  go on a road trip to  Tennessee for Thanksgiving I be not posting because I write with special kind of keyboard and it’s not easy to take with.   I am thankful for holidays new places to see.  And getting time with family. Each day is full of little gifts remember that. Even just waking up , the moments you share with someone special,  anything and everything we have is a gift!   Your smile to someone who in need, hugs,  love anything you just have to harder some days!  Be thankful for everyday.     Love and never stop being who you are!   happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Day18

Day18; I’m thankful for angels.   You may not believe in them but I think that they are everywhere we look.

Day17

Day 17; I am so thankful for fun times.   Today I had so much fun with friends; just doing normal shipping at first but it turned into great fun with a friend who we don’t get to see a lot.

Day16

Today I am thankful that I can give to others.   I know it’s seems weird but I love giving others gifts;  I love seeing how happy someone when they don’t expect that they are getting something just because they are loved!

Day15

Thankful for everything I have;  I know there are times that I have wished that some things could be different from time to time;  we all get that way sometimes. I used to think it I love others to much but now that I think I understand how much love can give us true happiness,  I am very thankful that I have love in my world ; it’s the true key to being happy! I see people that feel unloved but they have money really can’t make you happy.

Day14

Today I am thankful for; dogs and cat.  They are so fun to watch them paying.  They are so different but my pets are the best  of friends.

Day13

Today I’m thankful for music.   I love it,  it is always on in my room.   Music can get change your mood and help you get through anything!

Day12

I have lost count of what day I’m on, today I’m thankful for lazy days .  Sometimes we all could use a lazy day life is always gogogo.  It is nice to have a day when you can hang out at home .

Days5 through 11

When you don’t feel good, you can’t always that there is anything to thankful for.   But there is always one in your day to give thanks for. I have been in bed for the past four days,  I am so thankful that I have a great home when you don’t feel good all you want is to be in your own bed. I am thankful for my mom,  she was right next to me when I could not do much but be a baby because that is how I felt all weekend.   I am just thankful for one word”love”.  And for heeling.

Day4

Today I am thankful for the relationships that helped me know what I want to do with my life.   I could have written a lot on each person and maybe I will;  but for today it’s everyone in my close friends and family.   We don’t always know why we have relationships with some of the people it just happens.   Life brings people in and out my it feels like a lot, well it’s more than I would like!   But now that I am older they are not totally out of my life;  its a different relationship between me and that friend or family member.  My family has been so amazing, I have two older Brothers who I have also been close too,  I kind of like being the only girl and the baby.   Well sometimes lol.! Family is everything to me!   My friendships are important to me;  its sometimes it is what keeps me going.   They are so different from the friends I see all the time to the ones are I don’t get to see all that much, but I know that I will never let them go!  Its knowing that whatever happens I will always great relationships!

Day3

Today I’m thankful that I can write.   I know it’s not something that great,  but when you have a physical disability in which its hard to do anything for yourself.   You are thankful the small things that you can do without having someone help you!   I am so thankful that I will have a way help others thought my writing!   Its has always been in my heart to help others.   Ever since I was a little girl I knew I was going to help people.   I thought I wanted to be a doctor; thinking that it was the only way to help people,  but now I know that there are so many ways to help others.   Its what makes me so happy/thankful that I can write to inspire and help others.

Thankfulness day 2

Why can this seem to be so hard?  There is so much to be thankful for each day;  but when I try to pick one,  I can’t think of anything.  Today as I was thinking of what I love the most getting;  I thought of hugs.   Hugs make us feel good,  they have meaning when they came from a loved one.   When everyone else does not change the way you feel try hugging.

The mouth of November

Last year I started writing for each day of November  I wrote what I was thankful for everyday till Thanksgiving.   But this year I am going to see how  long I can do this.   It may not be everyday but there are so many things that we can be thankful for that we just don’t think of giving thanks for but we should.   Here is my first two days of thankfulness;  one is the sun.   The sun something that we love the way it brings life happiness.  Day two;  stuffed animals I have lots on my bed;  I have a few that have meaning to me.   Some of them I like to sleep with because somehow that bear let’s me feel close to the person who had given to me.

Self confidence in you.

Self confidence in the most important person;  YOU.   Today it is easy to think it the way others see you is more important than how you see yourself. The world is full of differences so why do we care so much about how others see us?  So what if you think differently,  so what you look,  talk differently.   Its your life, do what you love?   Make yourself happy about you!    Today there are so many people who feel hurt and unloved just because of the way they are, than can turn into someone not caring about the way they look; if nobody tells you that you are beautiful or that you’re amazing;  you will do anything you can feel that you are loved .  Its so important for everybody to feel like they are wanted loved and to know that there is no one like you.  Sometimes it’s ok to put yourself first; do what makes you happy!   Don’t let others put you down!

needs hope

How can you love someone who is far away?

Who you know needs your support,

Who has been through a lot.

A person who you know you could be there for.

In life we came across people that something team us

they they needs a true relationship.
Who do you know that needs you?

Everything in life happens for a reason even the people who you hold close! There are some people who you just know they were placed in your life a reason: although you may not understand why. You just have a special connection, which can not be broken! True friendships are amazing and last forever . Friends are the family you get to choose. Never let go of that kind of friendship.

Who are you?

Do you know what you are meant to do?
Is your daily life what you had hoped for?

If you don’t know;

 it’s not that’s ok
Does anyone know or have everything they wanted?  No

do you know you are not alone?

emotion eating

Are there days when you can’t seem to find anything that will get your spirit up?  The only thing you can think of that might help some is to eat?   Or maybe it’s the one thing that would just listen to you;  help you feel better for a moment?  May be you are at a place in your life that you are feeding alone like you can not get your feelings out.  So you turn to comfort eating?  Alternatives to emotional eating

  • If you’re depressed or lonely, call someone who always makes you feel better, play with your dog or cat, or look at a favorite photo or cherished memento.
  • If you’re anxious, expend your nervous energy by dancing to your favorite song, squeezing a stress ball, or taking a brisk walk.
  • If you’re exhausted, treat yourself with a hot cup of tea, take a bath, light some scented candles, or wrap yourself in a warm blanket.
  • If you’re bored, read a good book, watch a comedy show, explore the outdoors, or turn to an activity you enjoy (woodworking, playing the guitar, shooting hoops, scrapbooking, etc.).

Though during that time when you feel good you have no one to turn to;  if you don’t think you can talk to someone,  you can write your feelings out keep a journal,  then maybe when you are ready to share it with someone you can.

Each day is a gift,  we can change the world or the way people view differences.
We all have been down,  depressed.   So why keep it in?  Talk to someone, don’t hide it.
It could help!

Questions

What do you want your life to look like?

Is it what you had hoped it would be?

”’Is there someone in your life that may need a little support. Someone that may need to hear the words ‘Are you ok, I am here for you’ Who can you ask today ?”’  Let’s try something new till the end of the year; each day try to talk to somebody who you could use a friend.  Someone who is alone,  today we are so worried about fitting in that we don’t want to be with people who are different even if they are the ones who could really your friendship.  There are too many people who have depression because nobody will take the time to listen to them; let them know that they are loved, they have support which everyone needs.

Depression is a sickness yes do you think it medicine is the only way to cure it?   Do you think ever goes away for good?     Here are my thoughts to these questions;  first medicine can help desperation but it is not the only way to cure it.   Supporting and loving them will make a big difference that goes for any kind of mental sickness.   Support for anyone is the key to living an happy life,  really think about it; if you don’t feel loved but you have everything money can get but if you don’t have love in your life you will not have true happiness.
